I survived the cleanse phase of my 24 day Advocare Challenge. I am in day 3 of the Max Phase and halfway done with the challenge. This week was a little tougher than the first week. My family had pizza one night and my mom sent over chocolate chip cookies for my kids to snack on. Two of my favorite things.

It was a busy week, too and I was not quite as prepared as I would have liked.  It is one thing to make these meal plans, but a couple of nights our schedules got crazy and I ate on my own while my family had a little less healthy quick alternative.

That is my challenge through this and I hope to develop some quick alternatives for our family that are healthy and avoid fast food except for on special occasions.

I did feel like I was starving a couple of times this week and I cannot let myself get to that point. I need to have healthy snacks in my purse at all times.

So here is my plan this week:

Monday: Crockpot French Dip {from Smashed Peas and Carrots}

We are at a ballgame over supper so we will eat a little later than we would like. My kids do not have school tomorrow so I plan to have them turn the crockpot on for me mid afternoon. This is not the healthiest option with the canned soup, but I will probably just eat the meat with veggies and skip the bun. But this is a family favorite and it is a great crockpot recipe.

Tuesday: Garlic Butter Shrimp and Quinoa {from Pinch of Yum}

My friend Stef posted a picture of her supper on Sunday of this meal and it had me drooling. She said she added a little less butter at the end. That is my plan as well.

Wednesday: Creamy taco Soup {from Muscle and Fitness Hers}

I will be honest with you, my kids won’t touch this one with a ten foot pole. But I am making this because Wednesday is dance and church night for them so everyone eats supper at a different time. This is a crockpot recipe so I can start it on my lunch break and it will be nice and hot and yummy when my husband and I are ready to eat.

Thursday and Friday: These are ballgame nights for us so I will pack myself something healthy and the rest of the family will eat a quick meal before they go.

Saturday: Baked Chicken Parmesan {from Skinnytaste}

We will be in the gym all day out of town for ballgames. Everyone will be ready for a good home cooked meal for supper. This is another family favorite, even the littlest will eat it. (She took one look at the supper I made tonight and said, “Dis-gus-ting”.)

We had an amazing supper Sunday night. I was planning to make this meal last Tuesday, but I made it Sunday instead. I found a different recipe for the Tilapia here. It was sooo good.

I have to tell you that I have NEVER EVER eaten broccoli. I don’t like the smell and the texture freaked me out a bit. But I saw this recipe from Myra at My Blessed Life and she said, “Even if you hate vegetables {oh my! who wouldn’t love veggies?}, this is the way to fix ‘em so you can get them down.” And I have to tell you I was amazed that I loved them. They were crispy and so so yummy.

The best part is the picture below shows my leftovers for a healthy lunch option this week.
